YEAR 6 - ART TAKS FOR THURSDAY 14TH MAY

Today you are going to make an "OJO DE DIOS HUICHOL" or "Tzikuri" decoration for your house, family car, window... 

👉It's typical from Mexico.

👉They believe it can protect you.

👉 They also say that this eye can see and understand unknown things. 

(Hoy vas a hacer un adorno llamado "Ojo de Dios Huichol" o "Tzikuri" para tu casa, el coche familiar, la ventana... Es típico de México y la tradición dice que protege y que el ojo ve y comprende cosas que nadie más ve ni comprende. Tienes más información sobre esta artesanía en internet).

HERE YOU ARE SOME EXAMPLES. SOME ARE VERY SIMPLE, SOME MORE COMPLICATED.

You just need two types of materials:

- 2 plastic straws or 2 tongue depressors or 2 long wooden sticks or 2 thin branches...

- Wool or cotton yarn in different colours. You can use your scrap yarn.

(Solo necesitas 2 materiales: 2 pajitas o 2 depresores linguales o 2 palitos de madera o 2 ramitas... Restos de lana de diferentes colores).

YEAR 6 - Art projects for Thursday 2nd April

 Do you like to stay in your bedroom without being disturbed?

👉👉👉Today you are going to make a door hanger that will help you keep your "privacy"... Look at these examples.

           

                                

You need: 

   - Cardboard (cereal cardboard or any other type of cardboard).

   - White paper.

   - Felted tip pens, crayons, coloured pencils, poster paint...

   - Scissors.

   - Glue.

   - Other materials of your choice.

1- Print out this template twice (or draw it twice on a piece of paper if you haven't got a printer).

2- Cut the templates out, glue on both sides of the cardboard and decorate them as you like. You can also glue craft foam, buttons, plastic straws, fabric, flowers... on your door hanger.

3- On one of the sides you can write:"DO NOT DISTURB" and on the other side "WELCOME. COME IN".
